Last night was my first official board meeting as a Wisconsin Ukrainians Inc. board member. I met a lot of amazing members and got a really good idea of what’s to come. I can honestly say that the board has done a lot of work in such a short period of time, but I think there is a lot more to come in the near future. We are just getting started, and I am extremely excited to see how we can help the people of Ukraine. But this post is not about me or the board, it’s about individuals such as Steve Falk, Kim Falk, and First Lutheran Church Foundation Board. Last week Hannah Huhn told me that her Dad and Mom had a truckload of medical supplies for UMANA Wisconsin and wanted to meet me and hand over a check that he had received from his church. I heard that he was going to ask the board for some money but I didn’t know how much it was for or any information about how the money was raised, the only thing I thought was…..simply amazing and anything will help. The amount that First Lutheran Church Foundation Board decided to donate to Wisconsin Ukrainians Inc is $15,000………..these dots are here because I quite frankly don’t know how to thank the board and the members of the church. I don’t belong to the church, they don’t know me or anyone on the board, they only know that people in Ukraine are in need of help and they are all going through something that cant be described in words. This is personal for all of us on the Wisconsin Ukrainians Inc board, and we thank all of you for all of your donations and support.
